All the awesome music, the delicious food, and the ton of free stuff… Music Midtown has it all! This year Bruno Mars is headlining the event and he will NOT disappoint. We’re all pumped for the night of entertaining choreography and tunes that he will, no doubt, deliver.
One of the ways to most successfully DO Music Midtown is to P-R-E-P-A-R-E. So here are some resources to help you strategize.
There are four different stages to be aware of, we’ve got “Roxy,” “Cotton Club,” “Honda,” “Salesforce”. This year MM2017 spans over two days, Saturday and Sunday. The event page has schedules listed for each stage on both days, they can be found here. Every member of your group should make their own, perfect schedule. Once you cross reference yours with theirs, you’ll notice some inconsistencies. Here is where your friendship will be tested… one of you may have to give up the beginning of Mumford and Sons, to go see Future with the group. OR, if you’re anything like me, you’ll just head to a concert by yourself and make new friends!
Another important thing to schedule is when you’re going to get food! If you’re staying close by, you may want to go back and take a mid-festival nap… don’t be THAT SISTER who makes someone miss Tove Lo (Thanks again Becca…). So plan, plan, plan!
You can even go to the Interactive Lineup feature on the Music Midtown website and create your schedule by clicking the arrows under each artist and selecting “+ Add to My Schedule”. You’ll need to make an account on MyFest using either your Spotify, Facebook or email address… SO worth it!
After the recent tropical storms, Piedmont Park may be a little… muddy. For those of us who survived “Music Mud-town” in 2013, don’t freak out! Bring some waterproof shoes, or some you wouldn’t mind getting ruined in the slosh, and most importantly, ponchos!
