It’s a bird, a plane… it’s a scooter?
The Bird scooters have landed in Atlanta and are growing rapidly.
Bird is a California based company that created a dock-less, electric scooter for short convenient trips that are too far to walk but too short of a distance to drive. With the Bird, you can have the wind blowing in your hair as your cruising by traffic on Spring St.
Just tried the #Bird scooters in San Diego this weekend. Boy oh boy are we in the transpo industry going to feel a shakeup…these things are (1) cheap, (2) useful for 1 mi trips, and (3) fun#transpotech

So how do you get to rent a Bird? By downloading the Bird app, you can find a
scooter near you and rent it. The rental price is a $1 + $0.15 per minute, from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. There are a few restrictions: you must be 18 years or older to rent, must ride with a helmet (safety first), and a few areas that are off limits, like Piedmont Park and the Beltline.
The Bird flocked into town right on time for some summer fun!
