Ariana Grande has become the first artist to rule the Hot 100, Billboard 200 and Artist 100 at the same time within 6 months!
If that is not cool enough, she is the first solo artist ever to claim the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 spots in a week. The only other band to achieve this honor was The Beatles in 1964.
According to Billboard, Grande’s song “7 Rings” has been Hot 100’s No. 1 song four weeks, while “Break up with Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” has now taken the No. 2 spot! Her song “Thank You, Next” has been on the charts for seven weeks and has now reached No. 3. All three of these massive hits are from her new album Thank You, Next which was released on Feb. 8 by Republic Records.
Grande has passed Bruno Mars for having a No. 1 hit on the Artist 100 for eight weeks consecutively. However, Billboard reports that Taylor Swift still takes the crown for having a No. 1 spot for 36 weeks.
The album is still new so only time will tell if we see Grande breaking more records.
