Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro might be somewhere punching the air. His former longtime flame is officially off the market.
Congratulations are in order for the bride-to-be, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. The 31-year-old former star of Jersey Shore recently shared news of her engagement to boyfriend of two years, Christian Biscardi.
While her Jersey Shore costars publicly congratulated her, Ronnie has remained silent. Allegedly the two have not spoken for a very long time.
When the spinoff series, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premiered, Ronnie revealed that he had cheated on Sammie after she brought up getting hitched.
“I got cold feet,” he said. “I wanted to do the right thing, but there was a part of me that was like, ‘I’m not going to do the right thing.’ I ended up cheating and she found out. I blew it.”
That was only the start of all the subtle hints Ronnie dropped throughout Jersey Shore: Family Vacation that he was indeed NOT over Sammi, despite having an on-and-off relationship and daughter with Jen Harley.
Who knows where things would have led if Sammi decided not to walk away from the series? While fans were not completely surprised that she was missing from the reunion, she addressed the reason why.
“I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationships. I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations.”
It looks like being lowkey worked in Sammi’s favor. Her online boutique, Sweetheart Style, has massed 121K followers on Instagram, selling accessories, clothing and more.
Bagging a cute fiancée in the process doesn’t seem so bad either. Best of luck in the future to the Biscardis.
