90’s Kids’ Show, Blues Clues Returns

Blue’s Clues got its start back in 1996, starring Steve Burns, dressed in a green stripped shirt, finding clues alongside a dog named Blue. The show appealed to a younger audience with its vibrant colors, catchy songs and the characters that were introduced during the show. Back in 2002, Steve left the show, claiming he was heading off to college, but in reality he was experiencing balding and did not want to go through that in front of his fans.

A guy named Joe, dressed in a solid green shirt with cube patterns across the torso, saw Steve off as he carried his suitcase and went off to “college”. Fans of the show were sad to see Steve leave after growing up with him, and they were hesitant about welcoming newcomer, Joe, into their homes. Joe took over for the next four years, but the show sadly ended in 2006. Joe even stated that once he had children of his own, he preferred for them to watch episodes with Steve Burns.
Earlier this week, media outlets are reporting Blue’s Clues is making a comeback with a new name, Blue’s Clues & You, and a new star, Josh, dressed in a blue stripped shirt. The show will be modernizing songs from the original show, bringing back old characters and bringing you new clues to solve. People who grew up watching the original show are shocked about the changes to the reboot, claiming that it will never be as great as the original show, with Steve Burns.
All good things have to come to an end, and with a new generation of kids, I guess its okay for them to enjoy many of the things us millennials had when we were their age. As long as the songs are catchy and the colors are bright, kids really don’t care. I’m sure the reboot will be a hit with the kiddos. Good luck, Josh! Make us proud.
