Well, it looks like it might be a hot girl court date.
According to Complex Magazine, Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyer Dina LaPolt sent a cease and desist letter to Meg’s makeup artist, Akil McCoy. Allegedly, McCoy violated the terms of the nondisclosure agreement when he mentioned the work that they do together. A source tells Complex that the issue stems from an episode with Vogue called “24 Hours with Megan Thee Stallion.” The video basically follows the Hot Girl Summer rapper through her daily activities, including her getting ready and doing her makeup. A portion of the video shows Megan talking about her relationship with Akil. Megan explains how much love she has for her makeup artist however they do “get into everyday.” Megan put the short clip of the video on her Instagram. Well. Akil must have caught wind of the video and took that as the opportunity to promote his work by commenting “Makeup by Akilaface” under the post. This comment caught the attention of the media and Megan herself. Megan and her team were not very pleased with the comment and send the cease and desist letter. The letter demands that Akil delete his comment and instructs him to not speak on his professional relationship with Megan again or she will be forced to take him to court. This story seems to just be heating up, and I’m interested to see how this plays out. In the meantime, you can catch Megan on her horror-themed web series called “Megan Thee Stallion P.I. in Hottieween.”
