On December 13, 2015, at exactly 1:29 AM, Ed Sheeran posted that he was taking a break from social media for a year, and that he will be back next year.
Even though we all secretly hoped he wouldn’t, the man stayed true to his word. He hasn’t posted anything on his social accounts, and the only time we ever saw him was when he showed up for Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July party.
And then, one year to the minute, on December 13, 2016 at exactly 1:29 AM, the dark clouds opened up, and Ed Sheeran tweeted this:
Obviously, we don’t know what this means, but we know it means SOMETHING.
Is it a new single?
Is it a new album?
We aren’t sure, but we know it means he’s back.
