Well, the Brits are shook on Twitter at the fact that American college students have to share dorms. Wait, what? Like English folk don’t have to have roommates in their dorms?? I mean I know Hogwarts was a mansion but even they shared dormitories.
wait in American unis you share the rooms? like actually have two beds in the same room?????????? pic.twitter.com/q8Nv6lNZSk

At my college, we weren’t “forced” to have roommates but the more roomies you had the less you had to pay so naturally majority of the newbies had roommates. I have my share of awful roommate stories like when my roommate came home one night after a night out and was confused as to why people were in “her” living room…ma’am I live here also. However, roommates have shaped my college experience and have taught me how to confront issues, clean after people, and have patience. From cleanliness to midnight dance parties during finals week, my roommates have been there and experienced the shaping of a “successful” yet extremely emotional college student and I have been a part of their journey as well.
All that money American students pay to go to college, and they have to share rooms. It’s disgraceful 😩

So despite the horror stories and cliche stereotypes, roommates aren’t that bad, UK you can take a deep breath- we are quite fine over here across the pond.
