All the Ways to Avoid Studying for Finals Week

Here it is, the most stressful, terrible, dreadful week of a student’s life: finals week!

Whether you’re in high school or college, I think it’s safe to say students can all compromise on the greatest distraction of this week being our phones. However, phones are not the only distraction we face. Here are some more finals distractions to avoid:

  • Phones: Even when we turn them off or on silent the urge to check every three minutes waiting for someone to texts us is real!
  • Dogs: We can’t forget about when our dog comes in our room so we have to pet him for at least 30 minutes.
  • Food: So at this point we have wasted an hour on our phones and petting our dog, now it’s time to stare at the fridge and hope something yummy appears.
  • Unnecessary cleaning: Now, we walk back to our room and notice it is a little bit messier than it was 10 minutes ago and now have the sudden urge to clean it. At least we are being productive!
  • Boys/Girls: At this point, the texts we were waiting for from our boyfriend/girlfriend have finally arrived so no time for studying.
  • Social media: In between texting our significant other, we occupy ourselves by scrolling through Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat continuing to put off our studies.
  • Work/Sports: After our unproductive study session, we have run out of time and it is now time for work or sports.
