The Holidays can be hard! There’s your family, the weather, your significant other, presents, crazy traffic, the longest lines at every store, and the list just keeps going!!!
Here are several things that can possibly help you survive the rest of the year!
- Always have an extra sweater handy!
Trust us! You never know when the temperature is suddenly going to drop –or snow like it did this past weekend in ATL. Anddd you never know when you’re going to possibly spill hot cocoa all over yourself.

2. Invest in a portable charger (or ask for one as a gift)
These are fairly inexpensive and can help in a time of crises! You don’t know when you might get snowed-in, the power may go out, your car might break down… orrr maybe you need your phone at that boring family holiday party. You definitely don’t want be stuck watching your battery get to 1%!
Somebody at this holiday party bettah have an iPhone charger fam.

3. Bring a friend
There is nothing wrong with asking for help! If you know you have beef with that one cousin you know will be at the family get-together, ask if it’s cool if you bring a friend! You feel much more at ease having someone on your team.
today I have made myself egg nog pancakes + had a great phone conversation with a friend. finding sweetness in the (stressful) holiday season pic.twitter.com/Bcwr8d5mYY

4. Prepare for those relationship/job/school questions
*Hardest eye roll ever.* You answered these questions at Thanksgiving and the last family function… BUT everyone wants to know if you’re finally dating that guy… or if you’ve figured out what you’re doing with your life… or what college you’ve finally decided on… AND yes, they all have opinions on what they think you should do.
Ugh it’s a love/ hate thing when it comes to holidays especially in singleness.

5. Wear waterproof mascara
Those hard-pressed questions may make you cry.
Oh noooo post holiday blues have kicked in.

6. Shop online!
First off, you’ll find more deals online! And you avoid all the lines! Plus, you can keep your pjs on and stay sans makeup.
Being broke around the holidays sucks bc i wanna buy so many fun gifts for so many people ugh

7. But maybe wait ‘til after the Holidays for even more deals!
You’ve been working extra hours to make bank; help yourself a little more by putting off some gifts that can wait until after when those post-Holiday deals hit.

8. Burn off that stress!
If you have a cuddly pup handy, we suggest getting your puppy love on! If you don’t, visit a shelter! Possibly adopt a furry friend! —But if animals aren’t your style, enjoy a hot cup of tea… or cocoa… or cider… whatever works for you!
This holiday season I just wanna be stress free.

I’d like to downgrade to the holiday stress level that an adult coloring book can solve.

9. Get that extra hour of sleep
It’s dark when you wake up, and it’s dark before you even get through half your day. Make sure you get all the Z’s you need! Or schedule out time for a nap!
