College students…… Is it even worth buying college textbooks nowadays?
Believe it or not summer is over and the beginning of fall semester is right around the corner. Have you been saving some of your summer job money to buy your textbooks?
If you stand on all your old textbooks from college, you can touch the sky.

College students are beginning to get anxious as they are starting to get emails from their professors that include the two dreadful words….. “textbook requirements.”
Textbooks are what a college students nightmare consist of. There are books that are reasonably priced, and books that cost an absurd amount of money. The cost of college textbooks are honestly getting out of hand!!
From 1997 to 2017, college textbooks increased in price by 200%, while TVs fell in price by 96%. The difference? College is subsidized and TVs are not. https://t.co/kFynZ889LJ pic.twitter.com/x47JdAMQle

Many students are questioning if textbooks are even worth buying… I feel as I can speak for many college students, sometimes you buy a college textbook and never open it even once. Every college student at the beginning of the semester questions themselves, “Do I really need to buy that book?!\”
ok college students should I wait until i meet with my professors to see if a textbook is really needed ? Online it says required for the class LMK PLEASE

Sometimes students get lucky and never buy the book the teacher told them to buy, Although, there those unlucky students who struggle in the class because they didn’t listen to their professor who said “you need to buy the book to pass the class.” Deciding to buy a textbook or not is one of the biggest decisions a college student is going to make.
When you\’re basically already failing your college class bc you don\’t have the textbook 😊😊😊😊😊😊

I am a current college student and have used maybe 3 out of the 15 books I have ever bought in college. Professors today seem to be steering away from the college textbooks and are starting to use the internet and their own research that they have gathered from teaching though.
Which is fortunate for my bank account.
But if you\’re in college or have been to college, what is your view on the textbook debate?
