Last week, Disney announced that Halle Bailey would star as Ariel in the live-action reboot of The Little Mermaid. This started controversy in the media over the idea of a black Ariel, prompting the creation of the hashtag, #NotMyAriel. This is supposed to be a petition for Disney to recast the role of Ariel.
