2019 is Taylor Swift’s YEAR! The pop artist has been on top of her game and it doesn’t stop from here. The award-winning artist will be honored at the Teen Choice Awards 2019 and receive the Inaugural Icon Award.
FOX News announced the big news and said in a statement, “As one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with more than 50 million albums sold, Taylor Swift is a pop culture icon whose accolades and achievements go beyond topping music charts and selling out stadiums worldwide.”
Next month Swift is set to release her seventh album, Lover already releasing three of the tracks.
Being one of today’s biggest social media influencer, Taylor has used her voice and platform to inspire and create a positive change. In particular, she took a stand for LGBTQ rights with one of her newest songs “You Need to Calm Down.” She wrote a letter to Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander asking for his support in the Equality Act which prevents discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
T Swift is also starring in the upcoming movie- musical Cats which comes out in December.
The Teen Choice Awards will air on August 11 at 8 p.m. and will be hosted in Hermosa Beach for the first time.
