Halsey’s In Memoriam Emmys Performance Will Blow You Away

Sunday night, the 71st Prime Time Emmy Awards premiered, and although there were some memorable moments, people cannot stop talking about pop sensation, Halsey and her rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s 1983 classic, “Time After Time.”
Halsey pulled at everyone’s emotions with her soft, soulful voice. This performance was a part the memoriam to the directors, producers, and stars that passed away this past year.
Halsey was introduced by actress Regina King, and was accompanied on stage by a pianist for her emotionally moving performance. As Halsey stood on stage in a beautiful black floor length gown, a montage of some of our favorite Hollywood contributors strolled behind her. This year’s tribute honored legendary director Jon Singleton; actress, director and producer Carol Channing; actor Luke Perry; and the infamous Stan Lee, just to name a few.
If any of you have missed this heart wrenching performance I encourage you to check it out. Halsey’s new album, “Manic” is due to release sometime in January.
