A little while ago, Kristin – who doesn’t have the greatest track record with matchmaking – got an email from a listener, David, who wanted to help her turn the tables of DESTINY.
He’s the most interesting David in the WORLD (seriously, read his letter. Dude had been on the cover of USA Today, started a hot dog stand, his first job as an architect was working on Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi/Dubai, he summered in China for his thesis, he’s ordained, he lived on an island…and has a 7lb dog.)
So, we can’t do any NORMAL matchmaking for the most INTERESTING David in the WORLD…we’re gonna have Kristin pick, Brian pick…and Bert’s son, 9-year-old Hollis, pick. Hollis is the relationship guru for all of his friends, so we’re gonna give him a crack at it, and Bert’s banking that Hollis can set up David on a better date than Kristin OR Brian.
Want to date David? If you’re a nonsmoking (quitters don’t count), socially outgoing college grad with a fulfilling job who loves dogs (double bonus if you’re an an excellent blanket fort builder), enter below his email to date him!
David’s Original Email
Dear Kristin,
I know your record of finding love for others is not the greatest but I feel like I can change your luck and give you a success story to rub in Bert’s face.
I moved here about a year ago from Florida where I practiced architecture. I currently work for the 8th largest construction company in the United States as a Project Manager.
I am 6’4, 195 with a fit/muscular build who loves brunch. I am convinced only good things happen at brunch and the fact that it is on Sunday Funday is no coincidence.
My dog and I are an odd pair because I’m a big giant man she’s a 7lb fluff ball. I try to man her up by taking her tailgating, camping and out to the lake. Unfortunately the battle is lost when you have to buy your little dog a life jacket. Regardless she’s my best bud.
Interesting facts about me:
• Made the cover of USA Today (it was good not bad)
• I started a hotdog stand called Fatt Willies Hotdog Stand in college to help pay for school. It was pretty profitable and the best source for “that’s what she said”/Weiner jokes.
• I spent a summer in China for my thesis. It was right after the Olympics and I told people I was Michael Phelps, haha.
• My first job as an architect was Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi/Dubai
• I’m ordained. My buddy asked me to perform his wedding so I got ordained online that night. I mostly bless drinks at bars now, haha.
• Lived on an island for a several of years
• Helped lead food drive events for the past 6 years.
• Build Furniture as a hobby (I love tools)Things I dislike: bugs(f all of them), hotdogs, fat scooters at grocery stores and touching anything that is unexpectingly sticky or wet because “Why TF?”
Likes: Football (duh), boozy brunches, 4th of July b/c ‘Merica, anything to do with water, Auburn University and 90% of social gatherings (I figure there’s got to be 10% of weird stuff out there that I should and would prefer to skip).
5 Things that I look for in a girl (24-30)
• Nonsmoker (quitters don’t count)
• College Grad with a fulfilling job (must have the ability to leave work at work)
• Socially out going bc I’m chatty as hell
• Dog lover (I honestly don’t trust people that don’t have pets, b/c why? If the reason is good I’ll forgive them)
• Must be an excellent blanket for builderFemale Celebs I think are smoking hot:
• Mandy Moore – I realize this one came out of left field buy I’ve had a celebrity crush on her since I was in high school.
• Mila Kunis – Specifically from “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”
• Olivia Munn
• Lauren CohanUnfortunately I cannot think of a single celeb that I look like so check out my IG:i_heart_pancakes
Hopefully you take me under your wing and we can break your streak in a remarkable fashion.
Thank you for your time,
David
